Augusto Valeriani is associate professor in Media Sociology at the Political and Social Sciences Department of the University of Bologna. His researches focus on political communication, digital media and journalism studies. Augusto has published three monographs and several book chapters on topics related to journalism studies, political communication and global communication, with a focus on digital media. His work has been published in international journals such as Journal of Computer-Mediated Communication, New Media and Society, The International Journal of Press/Politics, Current Sociology, Information Communication and Society, European Journal of Communication, Middle East Journal of Culture and Communication, among others.
