Arianna Piacentini obtained her PhD in Sociology and Methodology of Social Research at the University of Milan in 2018. Her researches focus on ethnic and nationalist politics, populism, clientelism, political and electoral behaviours. She has been Visiting Researcher at the University of Cambridge, UK (2015), SS. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, North MK (2016), University of Sarajevo, BiH (2017), as well as Research Fellow at the CAS SEE University of Rijeka, Croatia (2018) and post-doctoral researcher at EURAC Research, Bolzano – South Tyrol, Italy (2019-21).
Dr. Piacentini is currently post-doctoral researcher at the University of Milano, Department of Social and Political Science, as well as teaching assistant in Political Sociology at the University of Milano-Bicocca.
