Anna Bertani is a research fellow at the Department of Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento, where she works on the political polarization of elites. She has an interdisciplinary background. After a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, she obtained a master’s degree in Data Science, with a specific focus on computational social science. She has been an intern at the Bruno Kessler Foundation, where she developed a master’s thesis on the characterization of human behavior in complex social systems during exceptional events. Her research works focus on a variety of topics, including misinformation, political polarization and collective attention on online social media, analyzed through network science lens and big data analysis techniques.
